one room challenge | week 1: kuka juice

Ok.  I may have completely lost my mind on this one...but I have decided to do the One Room Challenge again.  While last year is was so fun(??) to makeover our master bedroom this year is going to be a next level challenge....a retail space.  Any of you who know me personally probably know that my younger sister owns a cold pressed juice company in Greenville, SC (my hometown!), called Kuka Juice.  Her company is less than 1 year old and I am so proud of all of the success she has had so far...including now opening her first store front...and its downtown!  She also has the bonus of having a sibling that is a designer, so you can probably see how I have been roped into this!

The retail space will only act as a place for them to sell the juice that is cold pressed in a commercial kitchen off site.  Total sq footage: 350.  Thats right...many of you probably have closets that are bigger!  But I am super excited to make over this teeny space...and in hopefully 5 weeks. (Bring on the wine!....or Red Bull!)

Here are a few before shots and a rough initial design plan.  With the space being so small I'm going with the KISS (keep it simple stupid) method, while incorporating a few things that make the wow factor every design needs.

A blank canvas!!....

Initial design board!  Were going for modern rustic with a few pops of color.

Be sure to hop on over to Calling it Home and check out the other rooms people are making over as part of the challenge!

  3. I am sure you will create an amazing space for your sister's juice bar. All about some living boxwood wall/art. Bravo to both of you!!
