market & a weekend in atlanta

This weekend we headed down to Atlanta for me to check out the Gift & Home Furnishings Market at Americasmart.  This was the first time I have been able to work it out with my schedule to make it to this market!  I was interested to see how it compared and differed to High Point.  While I would hands down say High Point is a better use of time for a designer it was super interesting to see the new things coming out in home while also getting to see other categories like gourmet gifts, paper, ect.  Oh and to also swing by the apparel building for a few crazy discounts.

*If you follow me on Instagram you have already seen a few of these!

Emporium Home by Ashley Childers is always one of my favorites to visit at market...and this time I was just as impressed!  Its one of those booths that I feel like has just been designed for me personally!  Meaning I want to take everything home with me!  (If you're interested in any pieces they are available through Mallory Shaw Design)

These dining chairs were literally my favorite piece of the weekend.  The cream leather paired with faux shagreen topped off with the super cool shape...I mean perfection!

Another fab new piece to the collection was this faux shagreen and brass console.  Oh, and don't you love the watercolor wallpaper too?!

Another favorite was this 44x44 diver print.  So simple and classic.

While walking around I also stumbled upon Lifeguard press.  While they are definitely more of the gift category I had to take a sneak peak as I have ordered from them for myself personally.

If you are a bride to be make sure to keep an eye out for the new Kate Spade bridal collection that will be out this fall.  My favorite part was the guest book that you can see open on the front of the table.  It consisted of pages of tiny envelopes and cards so each guest can leave a more personal (& private) note!

I also am digging the new patterns for her storage boxes...

I have the pink version in my closet and love them (I know I still need to photograph my closet makeover and share here...oops!)

And while this was a work trip we squeezed in some fun too.  When two of the nieces heard we were going to Atlanta they begged to come along.  Our attempt at an elevator!

I can't go to Atlanta without stopping by Sprinkles (it really is a problem...I need help!) //  The real reason they wanted to come...milk & cookie room service.  I mean I would be into this as a kid too // Finally once I finished up at market yesterday I met Richard and the girls to make a super quick stop by the Atlanta Zoo.  Two baby pandas that turn one tomorrow!
