space of the day: an italian kitchen

With our upcoming trip to Italy I pretty much have become obsessed with everything Italian.  I can't wait to pick up some cool finds for the home and wardrobe...and all the eating I plan to do (I need to start dieting now!).  If anyone has suggestions on places, restaurants, things to do, etc. I would love to hear.  We are staying in the Tuscany just outside of Florence and also plan to visit Rome, Venice, and Cinque Terre.  Uh...I cant wait!

This is an Italian kitchen I came across that I just love.  That brick ceiling...no words!  I love how they have incorporated some modern touches yet it still feel like an old Italian home.  Don't you just picture family style pasta dinners with lots and lots of wine going on around that table?!

While researching and indulging myself in all things Italian I also have this video on repeat...if not on the computer...pretty much always singing it in my head!  Isn't it catchy?!

  1. Love this kitchen... and super excited that you're going to visit Italy! If you stop in Florence, you have to drop by the Bondi family's restaurants. Trattoria Nerone near the street market is the best food in Italy, hands down. Order the truffled fettuccine. And their blink-and-you'll-miss-it panini shop, Bondi, is right as you enter the market and is amazing. Also, just spend an hour wandering through the food market eating samples. In Cinque Terre, La Lampara and Il Grottino are not to be missed. Have the BEST time... con tutto cuore!
